Amra & Elma Take NYFW 2015

Amra and Elma Beganovich are two sisters and digital influencers with a following of 840,000+ on social media. They are the founders of amraandelma.com, their personal lifestyle blog, and clubfashionista.com, an invite-only blogging platform dedicated to high quality content. They are based in Manhattan, and having just wrapped-up with New York Fashion Week, we wanted to get their take the latest in fashion. Here is what they had to say:

MSM: Which designer’s fashion show of NYFW 2015 was the most inspiring in your opinion? new-york-streetstyle
Amra & Elma: We both loved the Desigual show because it was full of energy, and the styling was out of this world with the headpieces, the hairstyles and the vibrant colors. Aside from amazing designs and energy, we got to see our fashion icon—Iris Apfel, who is 94 years old and still the star of the show! Her quirky and signature style choices never cease to amaze us.

MSM: What trends do you predict to be a hit this upcoming season from NYFW 2015?
A&E: We think that the chic-minimalism is here to stay, and that adding a glamorous detail is what will give your outfit the “wow” effect. For instance, glasses with colored frames, extra pointy collars or oversized pockets will add a perfect touch to an already neutral outfit.

MSM: Which trend can you not wait to wear?
A&E: The tapestry like prints that Burberry Prorsum, Simone Rocha, and Mary Katronzou used on their jackets and other patchwork pieces.

MSM: Whose street style looks from NYFW 2015 are your favorites?
A&E: We loved the play on the 1970s hippie with a touch of glamour, where the girls wore large flare bell-bottoms with chunky high-heels, boho-floppy hats, and large curls.

MSM: What new beauty trends made the biggest splash at the shows?
A&E: We loved the shimmery eyes balanced with a nude look, where the eyes add a touch of sparkle together with opulent details, like jewelry or other accessories. The catch to this look is to keep it balanced with monotone outfit, where neutral colors like camel, navy, gray or black dominate.
