Ted Baker: Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

By Katie Jackson Photography Courtesy of Ted Baker Womenswear: Lighthearted Whimsy Ted Baker’s womenswear collection embodies everything that is hot this season. Appropriately named “Pinch Me,” the Spring/Summer 2015 collection looks as if it is something out of a dream. Incorporating colorful bursts of bold prints on strong textured fabrics, while also including pieces with softer hues and delicate floral detailing, Ted Baker created the ultimate collection for any wardrobe preference. Make a bold statement during a night out in the MIRCANA tropical toucan maxi dress ($425) or strut to the office in the perfectly understated yet detailed DHIAA waffle suit jacket ($395). Perhaps one of the collection’s most whimsical pieces, FINDON, a nude pink embellished floral tunic dress ($375) can be worn anywhere from a daytime party into the night. The “Pinch Me” women’s accessories are equally lust-worthy. The collection offers a selection of chic clutches, like the KALA cut out leather clutch ($220), stylish totes, and shopper bags. Take any outfit to the next level with the KYUAND ankle strap sandals ($150) and even give your phone an update with the CALER pure peony iPhone 6 case ($50). Whether you are looking for the perfect ensemble for an upcoming party, or a statement piece to bring a fresh new look to your spring or summer wardrobe, Ted Baker’s latest collection is perfect for any occasion.   Menswear: Bold Sophistication Ted Baker’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection did not leave all the whimsy to the womenswear. The men’s “Pinch Me” collection also includes a combination of bold and delicate pieces, but with an emphasis on striking details using this season’s biggest trends. Each menswear piece creates a serious statement using different patterns, like the SWEETJK floral jacquard blazer ($1,648) and the DRYVER checked wool blazer ($625). For the man ready for an update with classic sophistication, the nature-inspired long-sleeved and short-sleeved button downs with matching skinny ties offer the perfect style-meets-sophistication look. Graphic T-shirts such as the TALATON printed T-shirt ($75) are also offered in abundane, as well as the classic oxford polo. If formal wear is desired, look no further than the suits infused with pinks, pastel mints, and sky blues. The added flair of brightly colored ties and pocket squares will put the finishing touches on an already eye-catching look. The menswear collection also provides men’s shoes, such as the CHORPRI printed derby brogues ($260) and accessories that make a statement all their own. The latest Ted Baker menswear collection truly looks as if it is something out of this world, or as the collection’s campaign proclaims, “all is not as it seams.”   To shop the Ted Baker SS15 womenswear collection, please visit www.tedbaker.com To shop the Ted Baker SS15 menswear collection, please visit www.tedbaker.com

Top U.S. Summer Outdoor Adventures

By Gisel Habibnejad The world is our playground and it’s waiting to be discovered. So put down your cell phones and gadgets, because the outdoors is calling your name. The U.S. has plenty of hidden gems; all you need is the perfect map to guide you in the right direction. We scoured the country in search of some of the most overlooked destinations in America. What better way to celebrate the beauty of our country than with the great outdoors? THE GORGE & GREEN RIVER ADVENTURES, NORTH CAROLINA Opened in 2006, the youngest destination on our list might also be the most adventurous one. Securing its #12 spot on National Geographic’s Ultimate Adventure Bucket List last year, The Gorge and Green River Adventures, located in Saluda, North Carolina, gives vacationers lots of fun activities to choose from; zip lining and white river rafting are among the many. However, the most unique attraction includes waterfall rappelling. What began as a kayaking staple rapidly turned into a full-blown water adventure park. The 200 foot waterfall will leave you soaked but is sure to give you all the experience you need to fulfill your rappelling skills. You might even be lucky enough to have a helping hand from a salamander that can be seen clinging to the wall. Now, for those interested in zip lining, this attraction has a special treat for you. Home to the steepest and fastest zip line canopy in America, their zip line drops 1,100 feet, landing in the Green River. For more information, please visit www.thegorgeline.com & www.greenriveradventures.com ITHACA, NEW YORK Ithaca, New York has much more to offer beyond Cornell University. It houses beautiful and jawdropping waterfalls with a lovely green backdrop. This destination is comprised of the perfect getaway if you are looking to relax. Waterfalls here come in all shapes and sizes. The beauty of it all is that anywhere you turn, an alluring scenery is waiting to take your breath away. Take long walks, climb hills, or just watch the waterfalls in their majestic setting. The history behind its natural charm comes from ice 15,000 years ago. When the glaciers separated and disappeared, the waterfalls came into existence. The exposed rocks that can be seen all around are actually considered to be evidence of the sea that once covered the landscape half a million years ago. For more information, please visit www.visitithaca.com KARTCHNER CAVERNS, ARIZONA In 1974, local cavers discovered Kartchner Caverns hidden away between Benson and San Pedro River in Arizona. The cave passageways were kept a secret for fourteen years in order to prevent vandalism. The cavers decided the best way to preserve the caves was to make it property of the state park. In 1999, it finally opened to the public. The two main attractions featured here are the Big Room and the Throne Room. The Big Room houses the world record of largest formation of brushite moon milk. For those who are not speleologists, these are pale prismatic, creamy crystals found in limestone caves. The Throne Room contains the world’s longest soda straw stalactites, which are long, thin tubular stalactites that leak water. However, these are blocked where it would normally leak and therefore form stalactites. As for the animal life, thousands of bats nest during the late spring and summer in the Big Room. For more information, please visit www.azstateparks.com WATKINS GLEN STATE PARK, NEW YORK Watkins Glen State Park, located in New York, has been in business since 1924. The park’s center attraction is given to a 400-foot deep gorge which has a stream of waterfalls and rapids running along it. This beautiful sight was caused during the Ice Age by glaciers that deepened and later formed what we see today. Here, visitors can climb the waterfalls from mid-May until November. The park contains three trails that extend along the gorge where you can set up picnics, shop at the gift shop, and adventure through the playground. For more information, please visit www.nysparks.com MENDENHALL, ALASKA The 12-mile long Mendenhall Glacier located in Alaska is able to do something only a few other places in the world can do. This destination allows you to experience every stage of the water cycle at once. The spectacle of it doesn’t end here; the hollow glaciers contain running water while being surrounded by ocean-blue walls and ceilings. Words and photographs will never do justice to such a natural wonder. Visitors can even kayak through the ice caves until they reach the glacier. Then, they can climb over the caves. Unfortunately, this magical destination is rapidly retreating due to global warming. It has been closely monitored since 1942 and since then has decreased in size by 2 miles. For more information, please visit www.beyondak.com From gorges to glaciers, adventure can be explored in our very own backyard – you just have to discover it!

How Coconut Grove Got Its Groove Back

By Ernesto Poblacion Feature Image Photographed by Alex Medina On Thursday, March 5th, Coconut Grove residents from all corners of the city gathered at The Residences at Park Grove to witness a historical moment. The city’s most influential locals got together to discuss the future of Miami’s oldest and dearest neighborhood. The panelists included owners of businesses of which helped the city flourish with their ever-growing companies. Among them were Büro Urban Workspaces owner, Michael Feinstein, Herman Bredemeier of H & H Jewels, and Arquitectonica’s Raymond Fort. Naturally, these successful business owners of Coconut Grove gathered at the city’s latest talk of the town: The Residences at Park Grove. They were very excited to share what they believe is next for their beloved city. Led by Carlos Rosso of The Related Group and David Martin of Terra Group, the discussion began with shared stories of their past and present with the city. They shared intimate stories of the beginnings of their companies and how their love for the Grove has grown over the years. Like most business leaders, their stories began with nothing but a dream. Presently, they were excited to share how their dreams flourished and continue to grow. Some of the inspiring stories included those moving to Miami on short notices and eventually building their lives here. Most of these movers and shakers grew up outside of the city and admit to being unable to imagine themselves living elsewhere. Although Miami Beach has always been the center of attention for tourists (even locals), the true heart of Miami is making its comeback in a big way. And, we can thank all of these business owners for helping the city flourish but it’s the people who keep coming back and who bring life to the Magic City. Miami Beach Celebrates 100th Birthday

By Angela Betancourt Photography by Mitchell Zachs On March 26th, thousands of people gathered on the sands of South Beach to celebrate Miami Beach’s 100th birthday. The city, in partnership with the Hard Rock, joined forces to host the Hard Rock Rising – Miami Beach 2015 Global Music Festival. The star studded concert featured Andrea Bocelli, Gloria Estefan, Wyclef Jean, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, Flo Rida, and more. Though it was unusual to see such an unlikely collection of artists, the music line-up perfectly represented the melting pot that is Miami Beach. There was no denying it was a concert for the ages and a fantastic conclusion to several weeks of nonstop celebrations across the city. However, this anniversary was about more than just nonstop partying. The city, in partnership with local businesses and organizations, came together to celebrate the occasion in a variety of unique ways that reflects Miami Beach’s diverse cultural community. Several days leading up to the finale concert, Miami Beach Mayor Phillip Levine presided over a mass wedding of 100 people (50 couples) as a part of the 100 years celebration. Among the happily wed were same-sex couples who were finally able to get married legally in the state of Florida. Same-sex marriage became legal in the state at the start of the year, and this marked a historic milestone for Miami Beach’s LGBT community. The Art Deco Museum, founded by the Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL) in Miami Beach, opened its doors to host the Miami Centennial Photograph Exhibition. Renowned professional photographer Johnny Arraiz, whose been recognized by the Congress of the United States of America for giving his invaluable service to the community, showcased his latest exhibition “Miami Beach, 100 Years, 100 Photos,” which immortalized special moments in the city’s history. This exhibit was one of many hosted by the museum to educate and engage locals and tourists alike on Miami Beach’s rich history. The Miami Beach Centennial celebrations became an extra special event for 100 men and women who passed their citizenship requirements and officially became citizens of the United States. Leon Rodriguez, Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officially welcomed these 100 new citizens after they swore allegiance to America. Representing more than 25 different countries, it was fitting to have this ceremony in a city that was built by immigrants from all over the world. Orchestra Miami and The Leroy Schecter Foundation celebrated the centennial with a free picnic concert that took attendees on a musical tour through the highlights of Miami Beach’s history. Orchestra Miami believes in the power of music to strengthen a community. Now in its 8th season, they provide high-quality classical symphonic music and programming that celebrates Miami’s diverse cultural heritage. In order to reach as many people as possible, Orchestra Miami events are almost always free. The Miami Beach Centennial was as much about celebrating its past and present, as it was about looking towards the future. As Miami continues to evolve as a global city and as its population continues to grow denser, its future becomes even more important. In a show of its dedication to protecting Miami Beach from the effects of climate change, the city announced during the celebrations, that it has begun developing a variety of initiatives to generate more awareness about global climate change. The city is also planning on creating an environmental summit hosted by the Mayor that will feature scientists, educators, and other influential leaders from different disciplines, coming together to discuss environmental advocacy. Miami Beach’s history helped define its foundation, but its present and all of the people, organizations, and businesses, who love the city today, will drive Miami Beach into the future and forward for another 100 years. Happy Birthday, Miami Beach.

My Miami: Andrea Iervolino

Andrea Iervolino is living proof that the American Dream still exists. The Italian-Canadian film producer started to work in the film industry at the age of 16 in Italy. Now, at 28 years old, he has already made over 40 films. Since he started the production company, Ambi Pictures, with Italian power woman Lady Monika Bacardi, Iervolino made a great impact on the Hollywood market. In 2014, Ambi Pictures produced 14 films – each with top actors. From The Humbling with Al Pacino to All Roads Lead to Rome with Sarah Jessica Parker. Right now, James Franco’s directorial debut In Dubious Battle (also starring Franco) is the hot project of the moment. The handsome mastermind, Iervolino, enjoys his time on set while staying on top of business; developing new projects in Ambi Picture’s offices worldwide. We were delighted to learn that he wholeheartedly enjoys a special relationship with Miami – both on the business and leisure front. And, we couldn’t wait to learn about all the details! In Miami, you can catch me… At some fantastic restaurants, like Casa Tua, and even at The Cheesecake Factory, having one of their delicious cheesecakes! The biggest misconception about Miami is… That Miami is only a touristic and party town. Miami is also an amazing multiethnic city, where the people work very hard, especially the Latin population who arrived here to follow the American Dream. There are very interesting neighborhoods for that matter, like Little Havana. I enjoy the wonderful cultural exchange and the integration that this city has mastered. The last restaurant I enjoyed in Miami was… Casa Tua, one of my absolute favorites. When I go there for dinner, I usually order the Burrata with organic tomatoes and Basil, and the Taylor Bay Scallops with Ligurian Extra Virgin Olive Oil…It’s really special! What surprised me most about Miami was… The real surprise was when I discovered that Miami has the largest and richest Italian community in the United States. In fact, there’s also one of the biggest Italian Consulates. Already, for this reason when I come here, I feel at home. Aside from the weather, the best reason to return to Miami is… Because it is the best place to work, relax, and enjoy yourself all at once. Business easily meets pleasure here, which is much appreciated by any business traveller. The first time I became really curious about Miami was… I have been working on film sets since the age of 16, so of course Scarface really grabbed my attention. The screenwriter Oliver Stone, the director Brian De Palma and the lead actor Al Pacino, make the perfect triangle. And Miami, makes the perfect location! Now, I work in Miami quite often and I’m the co-producer of Al Pacino’s latest film (The Humbling by Barry Levinson)… I can really say that sometimes dreams do come true!

The Miami Beach Edition

By Angela Betancourt Photography Courtesy of The Miami Beach Edition Hotel In 1955, and for many years after, the Seville Beach Hotel in Miami Beach was the talk of the town. The rich, famous, and beautiful flocked here in droves and the hotel was yet another example of the glamour that attracted so many to the city. In 2006, the hotel closed its doors and stood empty and shuttered for years until 2010. After a failed attempt by the Ritz Carlton to take over the property, the Marriot purchased the historic hotel for $57.5 million and tapped famed hotelier Ian Schrager to bring it back to life. Today this historic hotel on 2901 Collins Ave has been transformed into The Miami Beach EDITION, a completely renovated and elegantly designed resort with intricately interlinked complex structures, spaces, and settings. The hotel features 294 rooms; 23 of which are two-story bungalows. All of the rooms are spacious, bright, and elegantly designed with a timeless resort feel and minimal fuss. The property also has 26 residences for those who want to live The EDITION lifestyle on a more permanent basis. Schrager, who is behind the iconic Delano Hotel, wanted to create something that would have a bigger impact and would better represent Miami’s ongoing transformation into a world-class city. Though much of the hotel has been completely redone, guests can still experience a bit of the past through the lobby’s white marble floors and 24-karat gold columns, which have been restored to their full glory. The resort is home to two restaurants from Michelin star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten: The Matador Room, the signature restaurant that offers his distinctive modern interpretation of Latin cuisine, and a 21st century food bazaar called The Market. The Matador’s seasonal menu is composed of small and large plates including Raw Shaved Florida Red Snapper with Green Chili Dressing, and Gulf White Shrimp in Agua Diablo. The Market is part patisserie, part boulangerie, and part salumeria, and offers pizzas, sandwiches, ceviche to wine, smoothies, and fresh juices. It was created to give guests a new alternative to room service. The hotel’s outdoor area is called Tropicale in honor of the historic 1950’s Havana nightclub Tropicana. Between the two pools, a private beach complete with an outdoor movie screen, a ping pong area, and a fire pit, Tropicale communicates a sense of both fun and relaxation. There are indeed a lot of beautiful things to appreciate about The EDITION, but it would be hard to deny the fun and excitement that takes place in the hotel basement. But don’t be fooled, the Basement at The Miami Beach EDITION is unlike anything found in the city. If you are in the mood for some bowling or would like to ice skate in the middle of the day, then this is the place for you. The Basement is home to a modern day Studio 54 dance club, a four-lane luminescent bowling alley, and a 2,000 square-foot ice-skating rink. All three are open to the public. When it’s time to relax, The Spa at the Miami Beach EDITION offers a wide variety of intriguing therapies and beauty services like the Sticks and Stones massage, and Oxygen Infusion facials. There is also a 24-hour fitness studio, a beauty lounge, and treatment rooms equipped with individual iPads for on-demand music. The Miami Beach EDITION opened during Art Basel last December and instantly became the go-to venue for the rich, famous, and beautiful like the Seville was 60 years ago.   The Miami Beach EDITION Hotel is located at 2901 Collins Avenue, Miami FL 33140 For more information, please www.editionhotels.com/miami-beach

Power Up with J.R. Ramirez

By Gisel Habibnejad From playing a superhero in Arrow to starring as a key person involved in a drug dealing organization in Power, J.R. Ramirez has quite an acting career under his belt. And, it’s only the beginning. The versatile actor, born in Matanzas, Cuba, found his calling in his early twenties after filming several commercials in Tampa, Florida. He then became eager to study theatre, where his passion for acting grew more and more over the years. For the past year, J.R. has been juggling his roles in Arrow and Power. It was inevitable he would discover a resemblance between the two. “Both characters are similar in that they are very smart and have had an extremely hard upbringing.” The superhero series, Arrow, follows several DC Comics heroes and villains, with its protagonist being Green Arrow. J.R. was cast as Ted Grant/Wildcat in the TV show last year, making his debut in the third season. Ted Grant entered the series as a former boxer and current gym owner for underprivileged children. As the show progresses, fans have been excited to see hints that lead up to his big reveal as Wildcat, his vigilante persona. Preparing for this role has helped him gain a deeper appreciation for boxing. The second season of the STARZ series, Power, will include a lot more of J.R.’s mysterious character, Julio. The show follows a high profile nightclub owner, Ghost, who also runs an exclusive drug dealing organization on the side. That’s when Julio steps in. Julio becomes Ghost’s right-hand man and second in command. Premiering June 6th, viewers will finally get an in-depth look into his story and find out why he’s one of Ghost’s most trusted confidants. “This year, things really seem to spiral out of control. The stakes are ridiculously high and Julio plays an intricate part in making sure things stay as tight as possible. He also shared his excitement for fans to see how his character manages to twist the plot this season. J.R. has also enjoyed working with the cast, such as Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who plays Ghost’s mentor and is also the show’s executive producer. “50 is a trip!” says the humble actor. “We crack jokes all day. I love how dedicated he is to the growth of his character. I think people are going to be very surprised.” When J.R. was just a child, he and his family made the big move from Cuba to South Florida. Rob Scheppy: Shimmery Shadows & Matte Makeup

CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST LAUNCHES ‘TINI BEAUTY SHADOW PALETTE By Gisel Habibnejad Rob Scheppy, makeup artist and hair stylist to the stars, is anything but ordinary when it comes to makeup. He’s behind the show-stopping makeup trends seen on everyone from the Kardashians to Heidi Klum to Mariah Carey, and so much more. What began as small gigs in Miami took him all the way to Los Angeles where he grew his high profile clientele list. Now, women everywhere can finally be blessed with his magical touch by using his latest makeup venture – Rob Scheppy for ‘Tini Beauty Shadow Palette ($39.50). Rob’s love for makeup and beauty products began as a child, “I grew up in a house full of sisters so I was exposed early to makeup and beauty products, and became fascinated.” His first big break came when he was working at a fashion show, where he was approached with the opportunity to work at the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Miami. At the show, he was also granted the opportunity to do makeup for celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kristin Cavallari. Now, let’s talk about his highly sought after eye shadow palette! Rob Scheppy for ‘Tini Beauty Shadow Palette contains an array of shades that can easily be transformed from day to night, all in one palette. “I wanted a palette of my must-haves as an artist – versatile shades that can be mixed and matched and used in different combinations to create a custom look for any occasion.” What’s his favorite combination of shadows, you ask? Cinnamon-Tini and White Russian. ‘Tini Beauty colors are famously named after cocktails, and this palette is no exception. Rob and the ‘Tini Beauty team researched cocktail names to match each color. Use the matte shades for a daytime look, then switch it up with the shimmery tones for that Hollywood glam nighttime gleam. For summer, his favorite trend is “the warm, subtle shimmer of Rosé Champagne on the lid, on the crease, and along the lash line. Combine this with a dab of Pearl Fizz in the inner corners and brow bones. So easy, fresh, and alluring.” The colors can be used dry, for shadow application and blending; or wet, as an upper lash line eyeliner. To get the best results and use from his palette, he recommends Tweezerman’s shadow brushes to apply and blend the colors when dry. If used as liner, the angled brush works best to get that precise cat-eyed look when wet. Rob has done makeup for a variety of clients and media outlets, such as commercials, major ad campaigns, music videos, TV shows, and more. But, his favorites have to be magazines and weddings, “major magazine covers always make me proud, but being chosen to do clients’ weddings have to be the most meaningful.” His favorite beauty icon is Madonna. He always feels inspired by her trendsetting ways as a risk-taker, re-inventor, and artist. When asked if he would partner up with other beauty brands in the future, he responded positively with: “I love all things makeup, so you never know!” We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this talented artist. The Rob Scheppy for ‘Tini Beauty Shadow Palette is available at tinibeauty.com

Bagatelle: French Cuisine with a Twist

By Angela Betancourt Photography Courtesy of Bagatelle As Miami further cements itself as a major player in the global culinary stage, it continues to attract the attention of celebrated restaurant brands from around the world. Bagatelle, the upscale modern French cuisine restaurant with locations in New York, St. Barth, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, St. Tropez, and Dubai, is the latest restaurant brand to establish a location in Miami Beach. Bagatelle owners Remi Laba and Auymeric Clemente recently opened the 144-seat location on South Beach at 2000 Collins Ave after much anticipation. Zagat even included it in its Miami’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2015 list. Executive Chef Matthieu Godard formerly of Boulud is at the helm serving modern French dishes such as Lamb Horiatiki; Poulet Entier Roti a la Truffe – whole truffled roasted chicken, country style potatoes, caramelized cipollini, button mushrooms, thyme chicken, and Jus; Gambas au Pastis – Jumbo prawn, fl ambé with Ricard anise; and Gnocchi Truffes a la Parisienne – homemade gnocchi, black truffle sauce, with aged parmesan cheese among many others. Bagatelle also offers diners a worldly collection of wines and champagne. The dining experience extends beyond the plate and into the restaurant’s décor. Guests will enjoy their meal or drinks in an environment that makes art an integral part of the dining process. Design company Celano Design kept the familiar looks of its sister locations of beige and white furnishings but accented them with decorative moldings, elegant banquets, and crystal chandeliers. Vibrant pop art provided by the Opera Gallery can also be found hanging on the walls; giving an extra dimension of color. These exclusive pieces of art will constantly rotate and works by artist SEEN, known as the “Godfather of Graffiti,” will be a premier artist on display. In addition to its unique design, Bagatelle is also known for its party atmosphere. The owners have every intention of living up to their reputation of being one of the liveliest culinary destinations in the world. Top Beaches of the World

By Dawn Wilson When traveling to the beach, everyone has their ideal image of how they plan on spending their time. Some people may choose to find an isolated beachfront, where they have the beach all to themselves. While others may want to be surrounded by tourists, moving from one water activity to the next. There is certainly no shortage of beaches for which you are able to design the ideal vacation for you and your family. Here are four of the most popular beach destinations in the world. You can decide which one appeals to you the most and begin making plans to visit on your next vacation. COOK ISLANDS Muri Beach in Rarotonga is one of the most popular beach destinations in the world. It is a white sand beach lined with palm trees around the exterior. The beach, with its Pacific Ocean reef, makes it possible to safely swim here. While it is a fairly quiet beach, you will still find some water sports offered, such as, wind and kite surfing. No trip to Cook Islands would be complete without learning a bit about its history. You can do this by visiting one of the islands’ main attractions, the Cook Island Cultural Village. It is situated in a garden setting with water surrounding it, while performances take place on floating stages. Nightly shows, set overwater, explain the Polynesian history and culture. For more information, please visit www.cookislands.travel TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS The most visited beach in Turks and Caicos is definitely Grace Bay Beach in Providencials. There are 12 miles of exquisite white sand beaches to explore. Grace Bay Beach is a rather active beach as it offers a variety of sporting activities, such as diving and deep-sea fishing. A favorite attraction at Grace Bay Beach is the private guided horseback tours of Caicos Corral. It is offered just West of the beach where there are few tourists around. This is great for first time riders because they are able to gallop along at a more comfortable pace, while learning how to ride. Experienced riders go at their own pace, enjoying the scenery while riding along the beachfront. For more information, please visit www.turksandcaicostourism.com BORA BORA, TAHITI Bora Bora’s Lafayette Beach is located on the main island of Tahiti. If you’ve never experienced a black sand beach, you can experience it for the first time at Lafayette Beach. The waters are calm, warm, and inviting. It is usually very quiet and an ideal place for swimming. Huahine Beach has soft white sand with waters of deep, rich blue hues. Many attractions can be found here, as the waters are ideal for snorkeling and other water activities. A must do while visiting Bora Bora is breakfast by canoe. It is more about the presentation than the food. A canoe will arrive to your bungalow, outfitted with lots of exotic flowers, full of delectable pastries, fresh fruits and juices. You are treated like Polynesian royalty. For more information, please visit www.tahiti-tourisme.com SEYCHELLES, AFRICA One stretch of beach where many romantic escapades take place on is Anse Takamaka Beach in Seychelles. It is a pure, unspoiled, white sand beach that beckons romance. The waters are warm and surrounded by lush tropics. Few people are on this beach, which makes it ideal for couples to explore and enjoy. It offers plenty of photo opportunities, as this beach is picture perfect. It is great for long walks and private picnics. If you are up for something interesting to do, after a day at the beach, visit Trois Freres Distillery. This is where the famous Takamaka Rum is produced. You will find out how the various flavors of rum are made while on a rum tasting tour. For more information, please visit www.seychelles.travel
