Patricia Arquette Wins Bulgari Award for Best Actress of the Year
By Alyse Mier A well-deserved “congratulations” is in order for the exceptionally talented actress Patricia Arquette. Arquette won the Bulgari Award for Best Actress of the Year at the 61st Taormina FilmFest in Sicily this past Thursday. The award is a symbol of the Italian fashion house’s commitment to honor prestigious contemporary film awards, and to pay tribute to Arquette’s achievements. Just this year, Arquette won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her exceptional way of portraying the trials of motherhood in Boyhood. The award was presented at the Teatro Antico, a historic landmark dating back to seventh century BC. This spectacular landmark in southern Italy was one of the ancient world’s best-known theatres. The venue and award are truly symbolic of Bulgari’s longstanding association with cinema.
