New York Fashion Week by Karen Huggins

Can’t believe we are now in February and it is time for New York Fashion Week. The time is going so fast! New York Fashion Week is a very special time for fashionistas and fashion insiders. Trying to build out a detailed schedule and calendar that keeps us on our toes and allows us to maximize the time in NYC, squeezing in as many shows and attending as many events and meetings as possible, it is not an easy task but I love it ? I was so glad when I received the invitation to Vivienne Hu show. The Fall 2020 collection by Vivienne Hu was beautiful and timeless. I felt in love with the puffy coats and jackets in earth colors; in varying shades of chocolate, beige, whiskey, cinnamon, rust, and everything in between, brown was everywhere. I will be happy to adopt this earth-toned wardrobe for Fall 2020. I also would like to highlight from this collection the sophisticated and colorful coats. One of my favorite options to make a statement with my outfits is with an statement coat and Vivienne Hu knows how to do it! Relaxing during New York Fashion Week is VERY important, I have to thank Innside New York NOMAD by Melia for all the attentions and for making me feel at home. I really enjoyed the spacious guest-room with stylish and contemporary interiors including lot of room for my clothing which is essential during fashion week season. The Hotel is located on Chelsea/NoMad neighborhood, close from the shows and great restaurants. It was a pleasure enjoying The Freedom Tower and Downtown Manhattan skyline views. Teddy loved the Pet Menu at the restaurant (his favorite was the chicken breast with vegetables ? ) and the cute dog bed at the room. Miami Blogger Shares Fall Beauty Favorites

By Gisel Habibnejad New York Fashion Week is in full swing and we couldn’t help but notice all the fabulous fall beauty trends rocked by the attendees of the elite shows. We caught up with Miami fashion and beauty blogger Maria Tettamanti (The Wordy Girl) who reveals her favorite beauty products and trends she can’t wait to sport this season. The mother of two was raised in Cape May, New Jersey, but moved to Miami when she was younger and later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. Her quirky blog captures the essence of her bubbly personality while she expresses her experience and advice on all things fashion, beauty, travel, and personal development. MSM couldn’t wait to hear all about her favorite fall beauty trends this season: MSM: What’s your top fall beauty look? The Wordy Girl: I’ll never get sick and tired of a bold, red lip with winged eye liner. MSM: What new beauty trend can’t you wait to try this fall? TWG: I miss dark nail polish hues such as Essie’s “Vamp.” It feels strange wearing gloomy opaque colors during the summer so I always look forward to fall to bring on the dark polishes! MSM: Who is your ultimate beauty icon? TWG: I fell in love with model Helena Christensen ever since her starring role in Chris Issak’s Wicked Game video. She’s perfection. MSM: Go-to beauty secret? TWG: I’ve tried them all and Chanel’s Imitable Intense mascara works wonders. MSM: One beauty product you can’t leave the house without? TWG: Beauty for Real’s lip glosses. Not only is the lip gloss legit — its case beholds a mirror and light, too. Brilliant. MSM: Most exciting moment so far in your career as a blogger? TWG: Winning Racked’s “Best Miami Fashion Blog” honors and collaborating with cool brands that I love such as Dolce & Gabbana beauty has been amazing! MSM: Most enjoyed spots in Miami? TWG: You can always find me in one of these haunts: The Standard, Soho Beach House or Bal Harbour Shops. For more on Maria Tettamanti and her blog, please visit www.thewordygirl.com

DELPOZO: Fantastical Fashion

By Katie Jackson Photography Courtesy of DELPOZO Spanish fashion house DELPOZO stepped onto the New York Fashion Week runway a mere two years ago, permanently captivating the hearts of many with truly awe-inspiring collections. DELPOZO, now a NYFW mainstay, has reveled in an enormous amount of success, largely due to new creative director Josep Font, appointed in 2012. Font has taken DELPOZO above and beyond the imaginable, using his architectural background to construct intricate masterpieces. Now, not only has DELPOZO proven to be a powerful fashion house, the sophisticated designs are paving the way for extreme innovative creativity.                   This season, Font was inspired by Josef Albers’ The Interaction of Color, the land art of Nils-Udo, and marine life, as captured in Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka’s 19th Century glass creations. Drawing on this inspiration, the Spring/Summer 2015 collection features a combination of bright and bold hues such as grass green, midnight blue, and lemon yellow with softer tones to create an ultra- feminine aesthetic. In addition, as a reference to Nils-Udo, Font exhibits his architectural expertise using shapes and colors from nature, featuring structured pleats, richly crafted lapels, and sleeves that resemble delicate petals. Font also used exceptional cottons, silks, and linens, while incorporating delicate fabrics such as tulle bobbinet, reserved solely for Haute Couture. As a nod to marine life, seashells are used as well as sequins and intricate beading. The brilliant DELPOZO Spring/Summer 2015 collection is a must-have for every fashionista. To peruse the collection, visit the Design District location at 35 NE 40th Street, Miami, FL 33137, or online at www.DELPOZO.com.
