Bucket List: The Most Beautiful Restaurants In The World

By Nadja Atwal Want to add some spice to your bucket list? We’ve created a list of the very restaurants that will bedazzle all your senses and will make you crave for more. 1) Kong, Paris (France) When you know Philippe Starck was in charge of design, you know  to expect something exceptional. And in this case, not just spectacular interior that reminds you of a transparent UFO, but also breathtaking views: Pont Neuf, Henri Sauvauge’s Art Deco design of the Samaritan building, Art Nouveau by Frantz Jourdain, another one shows the Seine, another of the Louis Vuitton HQ for the severe fashion addict. 2.) Brix 0.1, Brixen (Italy) In the Dolomites’ picturesque Lido Park, Italian star architect Markus Tauber created a masterpiece that should really be referred to as a “piece of art”. Brix 0.1 has quickly become one the most popular restaurants in the country with people traveling for hours and hours for a relaxing breakfast, lunch or dinner here that would for sure end up in their diaries as on of those most memorable moments. 3.) Heritage, Hamburg (Germany) By the river in Germany’s gorgeous maritime metropolis Hamburg, a striking gourmet tempel inside the famous Le Meridien Hotel emerges as a must-see place that will impress your taste buttons and will trigger your wanderlust –  or at least your desire for a little spin with a sailboat on the river. Add the impressive interior and first class French cuisine with just enough Asian twist and you got yourself a must-have experience. 4.) The French Laundry, Napa Valley (USA) Many have heard of it but too few have seen it yet. The French Laundry is known as the Über-Restaurant for gourmets. But not just the food is outstanding. The restaurant itself and the way it is embedded in the beauty of California’s famous wine region, Napa Valley, is simply too stunning to miss out on. 1600 square-foot made of river rock and timbers  – made in 1900 – enveloped in gorgeous flowers and the best nature has to offer, makes us not just enjoy the food but daydream as well. 5.) Ossiano, Dubai (UAE) Not swimming but dining with sharks seems like an adventure worth trying. Nestled in the famous Atlantis Hotel on Palm Island, this underwater spectacle guarantees its guests unforgettable moments  – plus outstanding food. Among other awards it was named the most romantic restaurant in Dubai! While you indulge in your fresh lobster you watch mantas floating by and per request a diver will display a message from the other side of the giant glass wall just for you or your loved one.

Aerin Lauder: The Face Behind the Global Beauty, Home Décor, & Fashion Accessories Brand

By Gisel Habibnejad Being the granddaughter of legendary beauty icon Estée Lauder has its benefits no doubt. One of these includes being blessed with the creative touch needed to become a beauty maven in this industry. Aerin Lauder has demonstrated such talent through her global luxury lifestyle brand, AERIN. Furthermore, she has cultivated her talent in home décor, fashion accessories, philanthropy, and beauty. Aerin recently released her latest fragrance collection, Rose de Grasse which embodies the scent of roses—specifically Rose Centifolia, Rose Otto Bulgarian, and Rose Absolute. “I’ve always been inspired by the pure beauty and timelessness of roses. When conceiving the new Rose de Grasse perfume, we wanted the fragrance to be ultra-feminine and light,” shares the mother of two. The New Yorker takes her fragrance collections seriously, going through a detailed process and ensuring she is active every step of the way. “It always starts with an image in my mind – what I want to say in that fragrance and what notes I think will express that. But that’s only the beginning.” The next step includes working closely with the perfumers until she finds the right scent to translate her message. “I obsess over every little detail – I think it’s a family trait.” Of the products offered by her collection, Aerin’s favorite is the Rose de Grasse Parfum, “It’s the perfect combination of my favorite roses in a light beautiful scent. I like to spray it in my hairbrush before I brush my hair.” Aerin also has a knack for designing home décor pieces and accessories. From candles to lamps, pillows, and much more, you can find collective accents made with you in mind. Whether you’re looking for a classic or modern look, AERIN has a desirable piece for you. By adding candles to her fragrance collection, Aerin combines two of her loves in one, “Candles can instantly transform the feeling of a space. This season I’ll be lighting the AERIN Beauty Rose de Grasse Candle for guests.” A tip Aerin carries with her everywhere comes from her late grandmother, “‘You only have one face, take care of it.’ Skincare is so important. I always wear sunscreen and I invest in high-quality products that help protect and repair my skin.” Her favorite skincare product from Estée Lauder is the Advanced Night Repair. You can get to know Aerin personally through her brand accessories; each piece is mirrored by her passions. Sparkle & Shine Darling Opens in Miami Beach

By Justina Coronel Photography by April Belle Adrienne Bosh’s new boutique, Sparkle and Shine Darling, is like walking into every girl’s ultimate dream of glitter, glitz, glamour, and more. At 1665 Alton Road, Miami Beach, this new location is an event space and a lifestyle boutique as well. With gold accents and pops of pink dispersed everywhere, the store has the perfect touch of elegance and fun all dolled up into one. Adrienne came up with the idea after a birthday getaway with her girlfriends to Paris that her husband, Chris, arranged. Soaking up all the energy of the City of Lights, dressing up from head to toe, and being absolutely fabulous with her girlfriends, led to her inspiration of creating an environment that could empower every woman to feel fabulous, as well. The boutique has the lavish variety of accessories from clothing to purses to notebooks. Not only that, there is a backroom that can host events and special occasions. For now, it is decorated in the cutest tea party theme but it can be transformed into several other classy and glamorous options. Also, in the back, there will always be a photo booth to laugh and enjoy memories together. Adrienne wanted to create this concept in order for guests to enjoy and celebrate life because let’s face it, life is a big celebration. So pop the champagne, throw colorful confetti, and enjoy this new fabulous store that Adrienne has flourished. Sparkle and Shine Darling officially opens to the public on Monday, November 16th. Michael Capponi & Gideon Kimbrell: Taking Entrepreneurship to the Next Level

By Angela Betancourt Photographed by Akram Soliman Miami Beach was not always the desirable city it is today. Its transformation is due large in part to visionaries who saw the city not for what it was, but for what it could be. One such visionary is Michael Capponi, an entrepreneur and humanitarian who has played a major role in shaping Miami’s nightlife industry. For the past 20 years, he has been one of Miami’s most prominent business figures and the gatekeeper to the hottest clubs in the city. His influence is legendary and it’s no surprise that his latest venture has become an instant success. Capponi partnered with software engineer and tech expert Gideon Kimbrell to create InList: a new members-only mobile app that is propelling the nightlife industry into the future. InList provides access to the hottest venues, restaurants, and parties around the world right at your fingertips. The app currently features hundreds of venues in more than 45 cities around the world including Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Paris, Ibiza, Saint-Tropez, Dubai, and Hong Kong. Since its launch, it has had more than 100,000 downloads. “It was an underserved market,” said Capponi who saw the tremendous potential to combine nightlife with technology in today’s connected world. “This is the future of nightlife.” InList uses a proprietary concierge model that allows app users to make dinner reservations, book a table at a club, or secure access to a special event right on their phone. The venues are selected by special “InList ambassadors” around the globe. These ambassadors are highly connected people tasked to hand-select the best events in their cities. The team plans on launching InList in new markets, incorporate more major events, and introduce a new ticketing category. “There are a lot of things we want to do but we want to make sure we execute it properly,” said Kimbrell. Bringing the worlds of nightlife and technology together is just one of Capponi’s many projects. In addition to being a nightlife pioneer, he is also an influential figure in the construction industry and a passionate humanitarian. Capponi has built and restored some of the most beautiful homes in Miami. He is the recipient of several awards including the Renovation Firm of the Year Award from the Developers and Builders Alliance. Recently he joined forces with Shear Construction & Management to form Capponi Shear Construction. The company builds and restores homes from Star Island to Indian Creek that range from $4 million to $50 million. For Capponi, restoration also plays a role in his charitable work. He is the founder of the Haiti Empowerment Mission, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with the goal to empower the people of Haiti by providing quality education, diverse vocational training, and job creation. After the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Capponi and his team were one of the first people on the ground to help. In the past six years, he has been there more than 70 times. “The first 20 or so of those trips were mission trips to help on a humanitarian level to bring them food and medical attention,” Capponi explained. After that, his trips were about housing, education, and helping in boosting tourism as one of the pathways to sustainability. “We spent a lot of time promoting Haiti as a tourism destination.” Capponi knows there are still challenges to overcome in the country, especially when it comes to non-profit organizations, but he recognizes that progress is being made. Whether he is revolutionizing the nightlife industry, beautifying Miami with his construction projects, or improving lives in Haiti, Capponi’s innovative spirit and vision for the future is making a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come. “We all have the same motives–to create business models that better the world somehow.” For more information on InList, please visit www.InList.com Click here to view this post in the September/October 2015 digital issue Click here to view the online issue

Spring Fashion Trends

By Katie Jackson  This spring season, fashion is kicked up a notch with a modern twist on style favorites. The free-spirited bohemian style, or boho-chic, is now presented as evening wear, featuring stunning, loosely fitted silhouettes and draped fabrics in the form of long, formal gowns. New iterations of America’s favorite textile, denim, dominated the runways while suede, with a slight seventies vibe, makes a huge comeback. Whether you are looking to amp up your wardrobe or create a new spin on a style staple, we’ve gathered the top spring 2015 trends that have made the biggest impact straight from the runways of New York, Paris, London, and Milan. FRINGE Fresh off the runways of Proenza Schouler and Emilio Pucci, fringe is making a huge splash in the spring 2015 style scene. Wear it in the form of a flapper girl-inspired dress, a jacket, or shorts adorned with long, unexpected streamers. Fringed Dress by H&M HM.com / $39.95               BOHEMIAN CHIC As seen on the Valentino, Vera Wang, and Joseph Altuzarra runways, the already romantic look has been transformed into something even more spectacular. The Pixie – Lightsome by Alexa Chung for AG Jeans AGJeans.com / $325       THE TOTE The beloved tote never goes out of style.
