Last weekend, thousands of people from around the world gathered for a common purpose: the celebration of cake decorating. The Americas Cake & Sugarcraft Fair and Satin Ice hosted a successful cake artistry event including several features: an edible fashion show, 75 hands-on courses and demonstrations, wedding cake inspirations, Chocolate Zone, Author Zone, and much more.
Cake Central’s Sugar Arts Fashion Show featured the latest in edible couture and Team Ireland was crowned champion of the Live Global Cake Challenge.
Notable features include the awards ceremony, when Betty Van Norstrand was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her cake design accomplishments and pioneering ways of the industry. Celebrity appearances involved big names in the cake business such as, Buddy Valastro, Roland Mesnier, Mich Turner, and Ron Ben-Israel.
