The MiFE TEA Talks is the first of its kind series that aims to cover the
business of fashion through panel discussions, Q+A Sessions, and
inspirational conversations with the world’s leading professionals, and to
help educate and inform those wishing to enter the industry with honest and
direct topics that will uplift and help those who dream to be in the fashion
industry. The event will feature a panel discussion of top model & celebrity
casting agents, photographers, models, and other industry experts, speaking
on the topic of “The First Three Years of Becoming a Model.” Beverly Peele,
former supermodel will speak openly about her life story of triumph and
failures in her talk “What’s Behind the Cover?” Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri,
former model and celebrity photographer will discuss “Life After Vogue,” and
will show a clip from her recent short film featured at the Cannes Film Festival.
Celebrity Fashion Panel to have an open and candid discussion about the
tumultuous first 3 years of becoming a model. Hear the true stories of what
it takes to develop a successful career in fashion modeling. Told from top
model agents, fashion photographers, and the former editor of Cosmopolitan
Magazine.

What does it take to become a glamour fashion model? What happens behind the
scenes? How does a model reach the top to become featured on the cover of
glossy magazines? These answers will be discussed in an honest, candid
discussion amidst the top known names in the fashion industry including
former top model agent Tyron Barrington, top fashion photographer Marcus
Klinko, former editor of Cosmopolitan Judy Goss, as well as many more
industry experts.
Beverly Peele, former Supermodel, actress, rose to fame in the late 1980s
and 1990s, appearing mostly in Mademoiselle and Elle magazine. She appeared
on about a dozen fashion magazine covers. Beverly made the cover of Vogue
and Seventeen magazine numerous times during her modeling career.
Tyron Barrington, former top model agent TYRON BARRINGTON, now a leading
fashion Producer & Casting Director for Fortune 500 companies such as AVON
MARK Cosmetics, TARGET, BMW, L’OREAL FERIA, ELLE, etc. He’s helped built
some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment, including leading
man Matthew Fox of ABC-TV “LOST”, TYSON BECKFORD, CARRIE OTIS, KIMORA LEE
SIMMONS, to name a few, and has been featured on ABC TV News program
NIGHTLINE. He has negotiated every top contract in fashion from Calvin Klein, Versace,
Gucci, YSL, Chanel and Prada. His departure in 2003 as an agent made the
pages of the NY Post newspaper not once but twice. He went on to becoming a
leading casting director for clients such as L’oreal Feria, Levi’s, Target,
Carter’s, Osh Kosh B’Gosh, etc. to name a few and currently produces for the
iconic American brand Avon “Mark” producing for such celebrities as Lauren
Conrad (MTV ‘The Hills’) and Ashley Greene (Twilight series).

Markus Klinko, Photographer and TV Personality French-Hungarian Markus
Klinko was born in Switzerland, the son of a French Horn player, and began
piano at 3. He spent his teens studying harp in Paris at the National
Conservatory. Markus had an illustrious career as one of the world’s
preeminent classical harp soloists. He was the first harpist with a major
recording label contract, and released award-winning albums for EMI Classic,
and played concerts around the globe. In 1994, after receiving the “Grand
Prix du Disque” (European equivalent to a Grammy) for his last recording
with the Paris Opera Bastille Orchestra, Markus decided to follow his
passion to begin a career in photography. Two weeks later he met Indrani
Pal-Chaudhuri and they began their extraordinary relationship and creative
collaboration that is now known around the world.

Judy Goss, TV Host, Author, Entrepreneur, began her successful career in the
entertainment world as a high fashion model for Ford Models in New York City
where she traveled extensively around the world appearing in campaigns such
as Armani, L’Oreal and Nivea. After modeling, she became a highly regarded
model agent at two of the world’s leading modeling agencies, New York Models
and Ford NY. After working as an agent she went on to become an editor for Cosmopolitan
then More Magazines. After two months with More, she was named their
national media spokesperson interviewing notable women such as former first
lady Laura Bush, Barbara Corcoran, Nora Ephron, Jean Chatzky and many more,
along with traveling the country making TV appearances for More’s Nationwide
Model Search. Judy is constantly seen on countless TV networks nationwide including ABC,
NBC & CBS TV as a “Lifestyle Expert.” Judy hosted “Women Power” for News
Butterfly TV which aired on Time Warner, and most recently More Magazine’s
Reinvention Convention for nationally acclaimed Better TV as well as “City
Buzz” and “The Cooking Show”. She is also the author of “Break Into Modeling
